Narwhal and Friends

Here are my first projects using the new release from Lawn Fawn.  I used the new die set Narwhal and Friends along with older Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.  I just love how versatile this die set is!

For the first card I made a seal.

The second card I made a whale.

And for the final card, I made a narwhal.

I used blue vellum for the water/waves on all three cards.  The sentiments and other images are from older Lawn Fawn stamp sets.  These were so much fun to make and I hope Lawn Fawn makes more die sets like this!

Happy Crafting!

Waterfall Card

Hello Crafty friends!  I love to make interactive cards!  Here is a waterfall card that was made with stamps from Mama Elephant.

I started out by stamping and coloring the critters on 2" x 2" white cardstock.  I then adhered those pieces to 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" orange cardstock.  For the "waterfall" base I cut orange cardstock to 2" x 8-3/4" and then scored at 2", 3", and 4".  The stamped squares were adhered to the "waterfall" base at each score line.  The left side of the 3rd piece (raccoon) is adhered to a strip of cardstock that is 1" x 4-1/4".  This strip has to be secure on your card base very well so that it can be sturdy for the moving part.  I used super tacky adhesive and brads.  I punched a hole in the end of the "waterfall" base and added some twine.

When you pull the string, a different character appears and a message is revealed at the end.

Here is what it looks like in action!

Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by!

Fun Flip It Cards

Hello!  Yesterday was National Card Making Day so I spent some time creating these fun Flip It Cards!  These were all made using die sets from Sizzix designed by Stephanie Barnard.

This Birthday card was made using The Square flip it die set and the Gift Triplets die set.  Cardstock, ink, ribbon, and patterned paper is from The Stamps Of Life.

Hello Sunshine card made using Triple Fancy Frame die set and Hello Sunshine Triplets.  Cardstock, patterned paper, and ribbon are from The Stamps of Life.

This is a fun shaker card that was made using the Circle #4 flip it die set and Butterfly and Hexagon Triplets.  I used craft plastic for my window shaker and added some confetti that I got at Michaels. Cardstock, patterned paper, and inks are from The Stamps Of Life.

A Triple Circle Flip It card for Christmas!  Ink and cardstock are from The Stamps Of Life.  Patterned  paper and ribbon are from my stash.

I am entering the butterfly shaker card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Birthday Birds

I have a lot of Birthdays coming up so  you are going to see many Birthday Cards! Here is a flip it card I made for my grandmother!  Happy Birthday Mam Maw!

I used the Sizzix Circle Flip-Its #4 die set for this card.  I cut the base using Pixie cardstock from TSOL and the panels are from pattern paper from TSOL.  I stamped the birds on some smooth paper from Bristol and used Zig Clean Color brush markers to color them.  I used the coordinating die set to cut the birds, cage, and swing.  I added Sizzix adhesive sheets to my cardstock before cutting out the cage and swing.  This makes it so much easier to adhere to your project.  Since the cage was so intricate, I used the Sizzix precision base plate on the bottom instead of a regular cutting pad.  It cut out great!! I stamped the hearts with Passion Flower Ink from Hero Arts.  I added a little epoxy dot the the greeting and twine to finish up the card.
